About GODependence
GODependence was started as a blog in 2007 and had been regularly updated till 2018 by Dr. Pethuru Devadason, a medical doctor. As the trend in the social media platforms changed over the years, he started challenging the Christian friends through WhatsApp on reading the whole Bible within a given short period.
Based on the inspiring results and the God given vision in the new environment, he initiated the Bible Reading Challenges in Mid 2019 along with a team of like-minded friends. Now the team led by the Lord has put things together to take people to further Bible engagement levels.
Our vision is to envision, enrich and empower people to go dependent on God. Godependence seeks people to go dependent on God by engaging with God’s Word and Prayer.

What we believe in
- One eternal God revealed in the unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and His Sovereignty in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgment.
- The divine inspiration and infallibility of Holy Bible (66 books) as originally given, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct of a believer.
- Salvation from the guilt, penalty and power of sin is only through the sacrificial death (as our Representative and Substitute) of Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God.
- The indwelling and the necessity work of the Holy Spirit in the believer.
- The only holy universal Church, which is the Body of Christ, and to which all believers belong.
- The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and the expectation of His personal and visible return.
